Mike, a life long resident of Montgomery County, North Carolina, started his railroad career when he accepted a position with the Aberdeen, Carolina & Western Railroad in 2001. After accumulating some experience in the maintenance of way department, Mike attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and Chattanooga where he received certifications in track inspection, bridge inspection and railroad track design. Mike also received his certification in exothermic welding from Orgo-Therm. Mike’s dedication, knowledge and continued training has allowed him to progress from Track Laborer to Track Inspector and Roadmaster. In 2021 Mike became the Roadmaster for the Aberdeen & Rockfish Railroad.
Mike, his wife Dana, and their daughter Emma reside in Troy, North Carolina where they enjoy traveling and watching Emma play softball.
